What Retool holds

Retool through Unl reads what the organisation already logs:

  • Lists apps in the organisation and gets any single app by ID
  • Lists resources — databases, APIs, storage and AI providers — and gets metadata for one by name
  • Lists workflows and gets a named workflow's detail
  • Lists users and permission groups, including group membership
  • Lists audit log events for the organisation

What the naked read gives you

Ask Retool's own MCP server which resources an app touches and it answers from the organisation record directly: the resource list, the permission group, the audit trail. It's a precise, current account of who has access to what, exactly as Retool's own admin view shows it.

The frame judges the data it is given; it does not verify the source’s accuracy.

What changes when Retool is read measured

A platform admin ratified that no app connects to a production database resource unless its build sits in an audited folder with two reviewers on the release, because an unreviewed app once wrote directly to a production table during a demo.

'Can this app touch production data?' returns, measured: qualified, because Retool's own resource read confirms the production database connection but the audit log shows only one reviewer on the release. Retool supplied the resource and audit data; your ratified rule supplied the two-reviewer condition.

Does Unl change anything in my Retool organisation?
