Salesforce's hosted MCP server exposes:

What the naked read gives you

Ask Salesforce's MCP server about a given opportunity and it hands back exactly what's in the org: stage, amount, close date, the account team, the last three activities logged against it. Ask about the whole enterprise pipeline and it returns every open opportunity above a given amount, sorted however you like, with owner and stage attached. The data is current, granular, and exactly what the account team already put into the system.

The frame judges the data it is given; it does not verify the source’s accuracy.

What changes when Salesforce is read measured

Say you're the RevOps lead, and you have ratified a forecast rule after a quarter where three 'commit' deals slipped in the last two weeks: an opportunity only counts as committed if it has a next step logged in the last seven days and a named economic buyer on the account.

'Is the deal really committed for this quarter?' returns, measured: not yet - the opportunity has an economic buyer on record, but its last logged activity is nineteen days old, so it fails the next-step test your rule requires. Salesforce supplied the opportunity and activity records; your ratified rule supplied the seven-day bar that decides whether 'committed' is true.

And back again

Update the opportunity - log the call, name the buyer, move the stage - and the next read carries the change straight through. Unl doesn't hold a second copy of the deal; it reads Salesforce again, checks the same ratified rule, and the verdict moves when the record does.

What makes a Salesforce verdict different from a stage change?

A stage change is a rep's judgement call, recorded once. A verdict is checked fresh against the rule you ratified every time someone asks - so a deal marked 'Commit' by a rep can still come back 'not yet' if it hasn't met the condition your team agreed on.

How do I connect Salesforce to Claude?

Connect through Salesforce's hosted MCP server from your org, then link that connection inside Unl. Once it's authorised, Claude can read opportunities, accounts and activity history through the same access your Salesforce admin already controls.

Does Unl edit or change my Salesforce records?
