What changes when Square is read measured

Say you've ratified a fulfilment-hold rule after a chargeback on a first-time buyer cost you both the goods and the payment: any order over $250 from a customer with no prior purchase history holds for manual address verification before it ships, no matter how the payment shows.

'Can I ship this order today?' returns, measured: not yet - the order totals $310 and Square's own history shows zero prior purchases from this customer, so it trips the hold you set for exactly this combination of size and unfamiliarity. Square supplied the order value and the customer's purchase history; your ratified rule supplied the hold threshold, set to stop a chargeback like the one you'd rather not repeat.

And back again

You later narrow the rule further: shipping-only orders, the ones with no in-store pickup to fall back on, hold at $150 instead of $250. The next order that lands gets read against the tighter line automatically, no need to remember the exception by hand.
