A deprecation, against the method you call

A deprecation notice is loud by design: a framework marks methods for removal across its whole API, release after release, most of which you never touch. What you actually need is the one that lands on a method you call — the API you built on, marked for removal — and that is a line the notice cannot hold, because the line is yours.

That your code calls it is a fact about your codebase; it is not a column the framework's notice models.

The reason the line is yours is the whole point. A changelog can mark every method deprecated; it cannot know which methods your code calls, or that you built on one deliberately, or that a deprecation on a surface you never import is noise to you and one on the method you depend on is not.

The frame judges the data it is given; it does not verify the source’s accuracy.

The one that crosses

So when the framework deprecates the exact method your code calls, it crosses — and nothing else does.
